Update #2 May 2nd 2018:
Update #1 April 27th 2018:
Short update about what you need to know related to SESTA and Skyprivate business:
SkyPrivate is not an U.S. company and SESTA will not influence the platform we built for web cam models. Skyprivate will always be adult friendly! Skype only updated its terms of use to add “no offensive language allowed” starting May 1st 2018. The “no pornography” article was in their terms for years, so not this is the big change they added as many models believed. Now more then ever we really believe that using Skyprivate to manage the income for skype shows, having a backup of the paying customers and their spending with you, will protect your professional activity as a cam girl.
For extra back-up against having your skype account banned and losing the contacts, read a detailed post below:
Original post:
Everybody that is using Skype for personal and professional activities is now interested if Microsoft/Skype will start banning their account if you do any sexy video calls.
We are trying to assure you that if you prepare yourself a bit, you can stay safe and not be affected. We start by explaining the context but if you just want to skip to the part of how you can protect your Skype account and your list of Skyprivate customers – go to the last paragrah.
Because of SESTA. Because U.S.A. politicians, in their attempt of controlling sex trafficking (that is something illegal) created collateral damage for the legal acting adult-industry businesses and any american user-generated online platform like Reddit and Craiglist.
Because now any american website has a liability for ALL the content that is found on its servers. This means that if somebody uploads a content that is illegal (minors, sex trafficking, etc) on Google Drive; now Google Drive is exposed to a very big legal risk; and not just the person that posted that content online.
To protect their own businesses you can see 2 types of reactions:
Microsoft/Skype reaction was to update their own ToS: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/servicesagreement/upcoming.aspx
What they did was to modify the terms so that they have the right to investigate your account and content when you are flagged (by other users or algorithms – maybe). In an interview by The Register A Redmond spokesperson sent the following answer:
We are committed to providing our customers with safe and secure experiences while using our services. The recent changes to the Microsoft Service Agreement’s Code of Conduct provide transparency on how we respond to customer reports of inappropriate public content.
The keywords here are : “customer reports” and “public content”.
We expect that Skype will add new methods for its own users to report other Skype users. We know that Skype video/audio calls & text are encrypted but not yet end-to-end encrypted. This means that people can not access the content of your video/audio call but Skype can investigate and find on its servers when and for how long you had skype calls with another users. And until end-to-end encryption will be available by default, Skype can access a skype video/audio conversation if they start to “listen” from the start of the call (this means that you were reported and they are listening to you in particular. We assume.). We also expect Skype – considering the NSA scandal from the past – not to start to record billions of skype to skype call-hours on its servers, because technically and business wise this does not make sense.
In a nutshell this means that we do not expect many things to change for Skype and its users – technically. Just that they are covering themselves legally and upgrading the reporting mechanism.
Before May 1st nobody can predict how Skype platform will react and what will be the impact of any new change. But if you are a Skyprivate.com cam girl that is building a strong business using Skype you have at least the following back-up for the worst case scenario if you get your Skype account banned:
Do not worry too much about the new Skype terms if you keep doing legal activity, if you do not share your skype ID all over the internet publicly, if you do a back-up of your contacts and if you’re using Skyprivate for billing.
We at Skyprivate, do not expect many things to change for Skype and its users – technically. Just that they are covering themselves legally and upgrading the reporting mechanism.
We will update this article after May 1st with any developments about this matter.
Chances are you’ve used Skype Translator at least once.
SkyPrivate models benefit from this useful perk when it comes to interacting with members that do not speak languages that they know.
Recently Skype did a couple of changes to its interface and launched a new version. We tried to play with the translator and noticed it works a bit different than in the previous version.
In the previous version, as instructed in the Skype support section, you would simply activate it.
Now, you would have to add it to your conversation, as if it were another Skype user, the Translator. This leads to the creation of a new, dedicated chat room with the users in the first one and the translator. We know, it might be a bit annoying to do that but it works well. However, we rely more on the text chat version for now,.
We did a small tutorial for you to follow if you want to activate Skype Translator in the new Skype. Let us know if you have any questions.

Branding is essential in every market. It’s purpose is to make the people which encounter the brand, more likely to remember it and then later become brand ambassadors for said brand. Branding applies to both companies and individuals and in the cam market it becomes imperative for each model to build a strong brand.
Today we will discuss about the process of creating a custom live Skype ID with the purpose of maintaining a model’s brand. At the same time, this will make it easier for your members to find you and get in touch faster.

About the Phoenix Forum Event
The Phoenix Forum is the premier educational/networking event for the Adult Business Community. The event is taking place between 22 March to 26 March, at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel in Arizona, USA. Unlike larger exhibit-style tradeshows, The Phoenix Forum is a mid-sized gathering, offering attendees a more relaxed face-to-face networking environment and providing unsurpassed opportunities to meet, learn and share ideas with their online business peers.
When you are the new kid on the block you have a responsibility to be agile and open to opportunities as they present themselves. Innovation is in our nature, and when Terpon arrived in the adult industry with state of the art VR technology for cameras, it immediately became clear to me that we share a passion for improving the user experience in ways that will bring models and their fans closer together.
Your connection with SkyPrivate is now even safer because all you account and payment information transfers are being protected by another layer of security which is done through data encryption.
Tomorrow 8 november 2016 our team will be at the romanian educational event BucharestCams.com to present our technology in front of romanian videochat studios and independent models.
Here are the slides we used before doing a demo of our technology. It can help you understand how skype pay-per-minute works for a customer and for a model too:
You can create your free studio account here. Or you can create an independent model account here.
Thank you for all those that attended our workshop.
