How to videochat with your clients in any language with Skype Translator

When it comes to videochat, the Skype Translator is that one feature that completely changes the game, and we think you will really benefit from it! Although this service is not new (in fact, it has been around for quite some time now), it has continuously improved over the past years and it can now support over 60 languages for text translations and over 10 languages (including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Russian) for voice translations.

Pretty cool, right? The big thing here is that you don’t have to worry about members who don’t speak your language anymore, or that your English is not that good! You can talk to or write in a language you feel most comfortable with, and let Skype Translator do the rest. Because your job is to satisfy your client, not to waste time trying to understand what they want. So, if you’re ready to speak any language and videochat with clients from all over the world, read this article and learn how to set up your Skype Translator.

Note: To make a translated audio or video call, click on the audio or video call icon in your conversation. Your voice will be translated, and the translation will also be shown as a caption in your call window. Your translated chat will continue to be available in your recent chats with that person.

If you want to start a translated chat with someone else, you’ll need to start the translator with them in the same way. Important: A translated chat will only support you and a single contact. If you try to add another participant or bot to your translated chat, you will get a message that the translations will no longer work until the added participant is removed. Once they are removed, you will see your translations continue as normal.
